  1. Reading this book as a teenager is important. It's important so that you know that getting a good education and good grades is not what making money is all about. You should read this book as a teenager so that you know how to earn money besides just through working. Because with the changing culture and economy; the education is not changing with it. So, you need to know how earning money and investing works, since it is not taught in schools.

  2. It's important to learn these principles at a young age so that you can put them into practice and realize that you don't have to have a prestigious job in order to be rich. As the coauthor’s daughter said, “Now I know I can choose the profession for the work I want to perform and not because of job security, benefits and how much I get paid.” In other words, your income won’t make you rich, knowing how to make money work for you is what makes you rich. You Can have whatever profession you enjoy, and still build wealth. What’s really important is to start early and pass these ideas on to your children.

  4. I believe that you should read this book as a teenager so you are financially prepared. Also, you would learn new things about money, investing and ect.. along the line of money management, college funding, and retirement. This book could also be a good way to determine your schooling if you want to go or not as a teen. I say that because you would be reading about two different perspectives of a rich or poor dad. That is why I think you should read this book as a teenager.

There are many reasons why it is important to read this book as a teenager. First, the times are changing. Getting a good education and making good grades no longer ensures success. There is no job security anymore. College graduates today are earning less money than my parents did when they graduated. We can no longer rely on Social Security and company pensions for retirement. During these changing times, teenagers need the new answers. By reading this book, teenagers will be rewarded with these answers as they prepare for the future. Second, it is important for teenagers to read this book to expand their knowledge about the financial world. Today, many high schoolers are graduating with credit cards in their hands, yet they have never had a course on money. Schools do not do a good job of preparing teenagers for the real world. By reading this book, teenagers will expand their knowledge about finance and make better choices about their money. Lastly, it is important for teenagers to read this book to create good habits. By reading this book now, teenagers will get into the habit of making smart choices with their money. They will learn to start retirement funds early and other guides to staying out of debt. These habits will then be passed on to the children of teenagers. Reading this book is a win-win situation for anyone. It is important for teenagers to read this book because times are changing, to gain knowledge about the finanial world, and to create good habits for the future.

  9. As a teenager it is important to read this book. This book gives you the point of view of a nine year old wanting to make some money. This book explained a different way of making money and it is important to have many different points of view on how to make money. In this book it explains that the attitude that you have towards money is how you tend to build wealth. As a teenager you always need to have a positive attitude when dealing with money. That way when you want to buy something you don’t say "I can’t afford it," instead you tell your self "what can I do to afford it."

To read this book as a teenager teaches financial responsibility at a young age. As told in the preface of this book, schools don’t always prepare students for their financial futures. “Study hard and get good grades and you will find a high paying job with benefits,” is a thought that has been engrained into a majority of students minds. In today’s society this isn’t always so true, as the mother in the preface comes to realize, her children needed new answers. Her and her husband both worked hard and had nice things for their family, but as their earnings went up, so did their taxes. Her son wanted an easier and more inventive solution to this debt cycle. Becoming educated in the subject of finances in high school or a younger age will ultimately help a person stay debt free and happy financially in their lives.

  11. This book is good for teenagers because it shows how to become rich without working non-stop your whole life. It shows how to have the right outlook on life and being rich. So you don’t have to work your butt off just to get by as a middle-class citizen.

  12. It’s important to read this book as a teenager to give us the knowledge of what the future and money will be like for us. In the book it says “Getting a good education and making good grades no longer ensures success, and nobody seems to have noticed, except our children” this says that just because we get a good job doesn’t exactly mean we will have a successful future. It’s all about the way we take care of our money and that’s what this book will help us to see. This introduction also talks about us not being able to rely on Social Security or company pensions for retirement. This book will help us as teens realize it’s all about the way we watch and care for our money, not how much we make , because in reality that doesn’t matter.

  13. It is very important for a teenager to read this book for various reasons. One reason is for them to get the proper knowledge for today's modern society. The education of finances has changed along with the world, but most people stick to the traditional way of making money. When a teenager reads this book, they will be ahead of the game and starting early. Teenagers would be able to learn the new knowledge to help provide them with loads of cash in the future.

  14. The main idea of the introduction was that young people are not taught about money and how it works in our changing times. What they do learn is from their parents, most of whom do not understand themselves what financial security means. Old ideas like “stay in school, get good grades, and find a safe, secure job” no longer apply. Job security, Social Security, and pensions either do not exist or are dying out fast. This book shows a new perspective using simple accounting concepts and showing people how to look at money so that it works for you. Rich Dad Poor Dad teaches you to think how the rich think.

  15. It is important for you to read this book as a teenager for quite a few reasons. First, is that it can teach you how to earn money like most of America and how to earn money like the rich people do. Second, is that if you follow the right track it can get you rich and help you do amazingly good in life. Third, is that if you follow what rich dad says you can earn a lot of money, but if you follow poor dad’s advice you may stay in the same old run that life has always been. Those are just a few of the reasons why you should read this book as a teenager.

  16. Rich Dad Poor Dad is important to read as a teenager because we need to realize that there is no get rich quickly methods. Methods that seem to be too good to be true usually are. It is also important that we read this book because it gives good advice for the future.

  19. The book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, is a good book for me as a teenager to read for numerous different reasons. First, this book teaches about accounting and investing. As teenagers we should be taught these skills while we are young so that we know how to practice them when we are older. Also, this book talks about what Kiyosaki calls the “Rat Race”. The majority of society lives in the rat race and work their whole lives to get ahead and never do. Knowing how to avoid the rat race is very important to me because my parents have raised me and my siblings while running in the rat race and it can have negative effects on families. I want to be ahead when I start a family and be able raise them without some of the limitations and stress that my family has now. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book.

  20. Rich Dad Poor Dad is a good book for a teenager to read for many reasons. One reason is it teaches teenagers about saving and what to do with your money when you get it. The second reason is it gives us two senarios on someone who is smart with their money and who isn't. This is pretty much teaching us from right and wrong. The third reason is it teaches us about society now. It helps us out with the future ahead. In the book it says the getting good grades and getting a good job is the way to make money isn't the way to go as it was back then. This is how Rich Dad Poor Dad is a good book for a teenager to read.
